DNA: Dynamic Non-repeating Art
This new art form for the 21st Century enables artists to teach a computer how to make artand make it endlessly. It can be thought of as the ultimate artist's assistant because it is tireless and requires no food or water, only a CPU to run on. Techné Media's patent pending methods have been developed over many years in conjunction with some of the world's greatest living artists and can be employed to create almost any kind of graphic in any file format. The computer does not merely trace and retrace a drawing but makes tens of thousands of random choices within the artistic range provided so that each image is entirely unique yet still reflects the subject of the art work and evoking emotion for the viewer. Part of the magic of DNA is actually watching it draw. It appears as though a very efficient, uninhibited and unwaivering artist has inhabited the computer and is drawing from inside it. It has to be seen to be appreciated. DNA has been used in fine art, prints, public installations, special events, concerts and electronic media. As far back as 1992 it was featured in Á Visage Decouvert (The Face Uncovered), an exhibit produced by the Cartier Foundation for Modern Art in France, alsonside luminary works by Picasso, Giacometti, Matisse, Bacon and many more. |
